New Orleans metallers, haarp, will embark on an eight-date journey next month supporting Down. Set to commence on September 21 in Saint Louis, Missouri, the band will bring their sonic wreckage through the Midwest and down the East Coast, coming to a close on September 29 in Sayreville, New Jersey. haarp will be touring in support of their soon-to-be-unleashed Husks full-length. Set for release on September 18, 2012 through Housecore Records, the follow-up to 2010’s The Filth was recorded at the University of New Orleans Performing Arts Center, Fountainbleau Room 7011, and Nodferatu’s Lair by Philip H. Anselmo, engineered by Steve Berrigan and Nathan Weidenhaft and mastered at Visceral Sounds by Scott Hull.

Due to unforeseen events which occurred late in the summer of 2005, members of various disbanded projects came together to forge haarp. Featuring a collective of New Orleans grindcore, punk, and metal scene alumni, haarp embody the murk, decay, and oppression associated with their home city. haarp’s music is a visceral wall of low-end sound; its lyrics a journey through despair, hatred, self loathing, and aggression.haarp will be decimating a city near you.
