Sitting in a flaming GTO, half-speed ahead, half attached with heavy chains rattling at the sides, Another Dimension is the fiery wheels to one hell of a ride. Now, I dare say gasoline runs through the veins of these guys, thrashers they are but yet, are still proud ambassadors of traditional sounds. Their impeccable, interesting mixture of Heavy and Thrash metal are the epitome of sonic beauty of which many who have experimented yet few are able to achieve. Formed in 2009 as Gaywyre, they soon changed their name into Razorwyre, something that would seemly to agree with the mature development of their sound. Thus, from the old ashes arises a new entity determined to thrash your metal bones and induce, intense headbanging madness. Razorwyre are masters of their gears, modern-metallers that did not forget their roots but instead uphold them with pride. Making them their forte, Razorwyre unleashes an array of sounds, an enjoyable assault on the ears. Before you know it, you are already pumping fists in the air. This is a revival of the olden days in the form of the modern times. The long lost sounds, missing catchy grooves, warrior-like adrenaline are all formulated into a cohesive and progressive instant classic. Get ready for the warriors and the eradication of posers, sit through a lesson of heavy metal you rightfully deserved!
Razorwyre takes you on a glorious ride into a battle of rushing sounds, with soaring vocals that stretches over lengthened heights and parameters, breaking the boundaries to a deafening crescendo. Also, not forgetting the fast and precise riffages that dominates in Another Dimension, with the often outbursts of beautifully crafted and intricate guitar solos. Now the solos, they are admirable to behold. They are a journey of its own, travelling past the borderlines of mediocrity to bring about a progression of sounds that is filled full with power and soul. What really flows through these magical fingers? Whatever they are, they leave me dumbfounded and sore with an aching neck. Furthermore, the chemistry between guitarists, Chris and James is indeed awe inspiring. It is a relationship fostered with the love for fast, old-school aggression. All of which, they tear through the ecstatic atmosphere, objectively, to a level of clear appreciation and acknowledgement. I don’t see the reason why you wouldn’t get high to Another Dimension. In musical terms, it is such an addictive drug that reeks of high replay value and mind-blowing musicianship. Adding on, Razorwyre are such talented songwriters to the point where every song are crafted and detailed to the very core. As a result, listeners are treated to an enjoyable and memorable experience.
I can already foresee an achievable career carved from the success of Another Dimension. The overall sense of fulfilment from listening to this album is not replicable with some of the mere, directionless metal efforts of today. Many would have known about the neo-thrash movement nowadays, newer bands playing the style of old school thrash with a touch of modern days aesthetics. Another Dimension is similar to that, but instead it provides a different approach to it all. Another Dimension being the first full-length album that came out of the metal camps of Razorwyre, I reckon it will be hard to top it again with another pure masterpiece. However, I suggest that fans of the neo-thrash movement to look into Razorwyre should the latest albums of such bands failed to grasp your attention. Now sing along to the soon-to-be classic, count the sighting of air guitars and finally move on to multiple them by 5. They should give you final score of this album. Yes, that’s how good it is.

About the Author
This is what I feel about my favourite genre in metal:
Black Metal is a timeless piece of magic(k)al art that is not limited by boundaries. Be it musical or aesthetics wise, it contains an honest and raw essence that is capable of not only satisfying the most abrasive of listening ears, but also an elevation to a higher state of transcendence. For years, the sphere of what we considered Black Metal has since expanded. It is mainly because of the myriads of influences that have been brought into the genre itself. Moreover, the influx of experimentations has rendered traditional Black Metal characteristics invalid. This is another trait that attracted me, for one, artists could then create their own art which allow the categorisation of Black Metal to be a certain state of emotional and feelings, rather than that of musical qualities. However, it is still mostly a personal experience to undergo. For the most part, it is different for everyone and I definitely respect that. Listening to Black Metal for me is like opening the floodgates to an ever-flowing source of energies where they are being channelled and manifested in the form of music which we are able to comprehend. Through passion and dedication, one will be able to realise the true potential of the magick that is in work. With that set into stone, the occurrence of change as we know it will be bestowed upon the listeners themselves where they will bask in all the glory and rewards. It is like an endless quest on the path towards spirituality.
Axis of Metal is me showing my appreciation to the music that has been keeping me alive. I also have a personal blog -Thelightoftheinvictus.tumblr.com which I write reviews for during my free time.
